About the Place
Welcome to Marty Restaurants Muzeului, an eclectic culinary haven nestled in the heart of Cluj-Napoca at Piața Muzeului 2. This establishment not only promises a diverse menu that spans across various cuisines but also offers a unique ambiance steeped in history.
As you step inside, the atmosphere is inviting, filled with the hum of conversation and laughter. From Romanian and Hungarian to Italian and East Asian dishes, Marty Restaurants Muzeului boasts an extensive menu that appeals to a variety of palates. However, the consistency of the dishes seems to draw mixed reactions. Notable mentions from diners include the spareribs and various pork dishes that come highly recommended, as well as the rich and flavorful curries that many guests have enjoyed. Yet, some diners have pointed out that while the presentation is impeccable, dishes like salmon could benefit from a more robust flavor profile.

“ Great atmosphere, huge menu, food is just okay, but extra points for the cool Roman ruins in the basement next to the bathrooms. Those are worth seeing on their own! I got the burrito, and to be honest I’ve never had good texmex outside the US, so hard to hold it against them here. It was extremely average. The pickle plate was great, I enjoyed the pickles and pickled peppers, the cauliflower was not good though. ”
“ Nice restaurant with a very wide selection of dishes. You can practically eat anything here from Romanian to Hungarian to Italian or East Asian. Some things we ordered were not as good as the others - I’d recommend the spareribs, pork dishes and curry. The design an interior are great and the place apparently sits on top of an ancient roman excavation site which you can see if you go to the bathroom… I thought the music was abut too loud for a restaurant but maybe it’s just me. ”
“ For the price, I expected the food to be a little bit better at least. However, the presentation is great and the atmosphere is awesome. From my experience, despite being perfectly cooked, the salmon and veggies were lacking flavor. ”
